To check the status of your kit, log in to your account at the TruDiagnostic Portal. Your kit status will appear at the top of the homepage. You will be notified via email once our lab receives your sample, then processing will begin, and your kit status will update in your portal accordingly.

You’ll receive an email notification when your results are ready—typically within 3 to 4 weeks after we receive your sample. Results TAT can vary and may take longer if our lab is experiencing high intake volumes or your sample has failed it’s first QA/QC check.

Your online portal provides the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding your sample’s status. If it has been more than three weeks without an update, processing may be delayed for one of the following reasons:

1. Quality Control (QA/QC) Failure: Although rare, your sample may have failed its initial QA/QC check. In this case, we automatically rerun your sample. If it fails a second time, our team will contact you with next steps, including arranging a replacement kit at no additional cost.
2. Unregistered Kit: Lab processing cannot begin until your kit is registered. To avoid delays, please register your kit as soon as you receive it.

To ensure the highest accuracy, we follow strict quality standards, and it’s normal for some samples to require retesting. If this happens, processing may take up to two additional weeks.

A sample may fail due to:

• Insufficient blood sample: Not enough saturation for accurate testing.
• Low DNA yield: The sample doesn’t contain enough extractable DNA.
• Contamination or dilution: External factors affecting sample integrity.

If your sample fails, we will automatically rerun it twice. If it still does not meet our quality standards, our customer support team will contact you to discuss next steps. In some cases, a replacement kit may be needed, with a $20 fee depending on the reason for failure. If the issue is due to a lab error, we will provide a replacement at no cost.
